Cookie Policy

This page lists the cookies and browser storage that bapc.app and the BAPC apps use, what each one is for, how long it lasts, and whether we ask you first. BAPC does not use outside advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not sell or share what is stored in your browser.

Needed to make BAPC work

These are used only for things you ask for, so we don't ask before using them.

• Sign-in cookiesNeeded
  Set by bapc.app and by each BAPC app after you sign in, so you stay signed in. They are sent only over secure connections and end when you sign out or your session ends.
• Sign-in hand-off cookieNeeded
  A short-lived cookie that protects the step where an app sends you to bapc.app to sign in and back. It lasts a few minutes.
• Language choice (bapc-locale, browser storage)Needed
  Remembers the language you picked with the language button, until you change it or clear your browser's data for the site.
• Your ad choice (bapc-ads-consent, browser storage)Needed
  Remembers whether you said yes or no to ad counting (below), so we don't ask again.
• How you found us (bapc_first_touch, tab storage)Needed
  The page or campaign that brought you to this visit. It is never a cookie, stays only in your open tab, and is deleted when you close it. It is only sent to us if you sign up for email updates.

Only if you allow it

• Ad counting (bapc-ads-caps, browser storage)Asked first
  Some BAPC sites show promotions from BAPC Ads. Some promotions are limited to a few showings a day, so you don't see the same one over and over. If you choose Allow on such a promotion, this site counts in your browser how many times you have seen it today. The count never leaves your browser except as a list of promotions to skip, and it identifies no one. Counts from earlier days are deleted. If you choose No thanks, nothing is counted.

Global Privacy Control

If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, BAPC treats it as "No thanks": nothing is counted and you aren't asked.

Changing your choice

Your choice is kept separately on each BAPC site. To change it on a site, clear that site's data in your browser's settings; you'll be asked again the next time a limited promotion appears there. For bapc.app itself you can reset it here:
